Wassup everyone....I remember Wes from the cadillac forums when I had a deville....now I have a 90' Trans am with a 94' LT1.....

Well I moved up to orlando from south florida (yea it sucks) for college (UCF).....and I just recently took my trans am up here (have a jeep too) and I cant take the horrible roads up here...I love the car and have rebuilt both the trans am rear end...but I needa car to drive me around comforatably....

So I know my grandfather is in the market for a new car and my friend is offering me a good amount of money for my trans am.....sooo I asked if he would sell me his 1994 Base Q45 for a decent price...he agreed....it currently has 66,000 miles...he just spent close to a grand on replacing all brakes and haveing a fans and fan bearings replaced amoung other things done to it.....its got chips here n there and leather on door is cracked (fixed easily) but Im figuring he will sell it to me in the 3,000-3500 range hopefully....Im guesing this is a pretty good deal correct?....I know he payed 18 grand about 9 yrs ago for it with 40,000 miles on it....it drives pretty good and I figure since I can work on cars this will be a decent everyday car that gets less then 6,000 miles a year on it.

whatta yall think?

$3500 for a 66k 94Q is a good price!

Japanese parts are more expensive than domestics and you should never use Azone Napo remanned [cleaned up jyard parts] however Inet allows 25% discounts so it can be a wash.

Get a FSM from ebay and read the thousand pages a few times to see the MENTAL differences between GM and Nissan.

Find a Nissan shop with a Consult to speed up diagnostic.

Never let the all aluminum engine over heat as it will be destroyed unlike a cast iron.

welcome to NICO.. I remember that Q, its the white one, right??? I remember talking about that car when my first Q died.....

Anyway, 3500 for a Q with 66k is good.. plan on doing the 60k service immediately (spark plugs, EVERY DROP OF FLUID IN THE CAR CHANGED, air filter, fuel filter, etc etc)...

Just two and a half years ago I paid $3800 for a '92 with 160k. I think you're getting a heck of a deal.
