I noticed that since my car passed 1500 miles that it really started tomove when I push the accelerator, way more than when I bought it.

The weather cooled down over the last 3 weeks by 20 degrees too, soI wonder, did the car just break in or is it the cooler temps that havemade it more zippy?

its probably both... colder air is more dense so you can get more into each cylinder which would require more fuel to keep the mixture from bein too lean. this will give you a bigger combustion which will give you more power. and in this case with it bein 20 degrees colder is probably a little more likely.

i wouldnt quite say you've broken it in after only 1500 miles, but each car is different as well as each driver and their opinion. i would say you're about half way to breakin it in for the most part tho.

+53.4 HP for washing it in the snow...lol

The engine is starting to set now - possibly you're driving it a little harder if you were taking it easy during the breakin?

If you really want mor horse power, just add stickers. You can get 20+hp per sticker.

actually a lot of people dont know this but if the stickers are on the windshield and block out a reasonable amount of your forward visibility, it adds about 26.4 horsepower per square foot of decals, just some useful information for everyone

Or if you dont have the money for the stickers you could just squint your eyes.. Your hp actually increases exponentially the more you squint

Closing your eyes = 156.7 HP gain.Closing 1 eye = 89.6 HP gain.No hands = 101.2 HP gain.Driving with your girlfriend = 23.8 HP loss.

Unfortunately this technique only works for HP. TQ will only increase slightly with your eyes squinted or even closed. For decent TQ gains, blindfolds are required. Still waiting on Dyno results however for the blindfolds

butt dyno gave me an almost unbelivable reading on my 2.5 of a 203.8 ft/lbs of tq increase.....

so 175 hp stock + 156.7 (eyesclosed. ) = 331.7 hp

plus 40 for the exhaust and 10 for the intake = 381.7

plus altima coupe.com sticker x 2 = 421.7

plus no hands. = 461.7 total hp

and 180 ft/lbs tq stock + blindfolded eyes closed and no hands = 443.8

plus intake and exhaust = 483.8 ft/lbs tq

i think i can anything.

painted calipers + 50ft/lbs tq per wheel

painted grill and stache +25 hp

NEW BUMPER +100 hp

wow , i could only imagine how much torque would be gained if i just painted the rotor also, at least 110+ torque at the wheel

... and not just the rotor hat either... if you painted the whole rotor you can probably get an extra 40+ giving a total of 150+ TQ per wheel. Plus it makes all the more fun when panic braking

actually i was thinking about it, if you were to apply axle grease all over the contact surface of the rotors this would reduce the friction between the pads and the rotor,---- instant free horse power!

as for being off topic, this isnt that far off topic, yes 20 degree colder air means denser air, more power, and the vehicle is more broke in, making it more efficient, so good times,

See now im just hoping that no one took any of that seriously, cause im sure there was someone that was like "Oh i gotta try that!" ..lol Theres gonna be some car accident on the news and the car that caused it has graphics all over the front windshield, painted and greased rotors and calipers, and then you see the driver stumble out of the car with a blindfold on... haha..lol

Omg, 57 degrees this morning, i had to bust out my big, heavy jacket and I think I saw a cloud, or maybe it was smog, anyways, i busted out the umbrella too... But seriously, my car does seem a little peppier in the morning, not +10hp peppier but definitely a bit more responsive.
