I'm new on this site...Actually, new on any car forum site. I'm getting ready to purchase my first car which will most likely be a 240sx. Any help/tips/info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome Noobie!

Try to find a 240 that runs and looks good.Look for rust underneath it and check the chasis for damage.Or get a shell in great condition, and later swap an sr20 or turboa Ka24. Don't spend too much for one. I spent 700 for the (s13 coupe) shell. Expect to spend a little more for an S14.

Welcome, good luck with your search.

If its a hatch then check underneath the stock spoiler for rust. Also check the engine bay, frame rails, rocker panels and floor pans.

I'll make sure to check for rust, frame damage ect. And i'll be sure to spend at least an hour going over the car.

Lol, an hour is a long time. If its possible, bring it to a nearby shop and ask them if they could put it on the lift for you. Thats the easiest way and takes alot less time lol.
