Had to go get a haircut this morning, and the place where I refill the bottle was right next door... They werent busy so I figured what hte hell, lets give it a try. Bottle took 10lbs 3oz and its nicely at 850PSI...

Cost me $50 to fill it up (@4.50/lb).. However, my nozzle is not in there very good, so im probably going to have to get a new nozzle... Not a big deal.. Just for fun, i put some tape around the threads and stuck it in... I test sprayed it in the garage, and sort of to my surprise, it did not come shooting out... Tried it a couple more times, all good...

Cranked the car over a couple times with the injector fuse out.. Spraying with the engine off and then restarting isnt a good idea, you can backfire it...

So then I took the car out... There is a difference because when you hit it from the stop it just nails you in your seat and leaves a big patch, however, its not as big of an increase as I was expecting... I mean, if its 100 shot, youd think that youd be able to feel a HUGE difference..... I mean, i could feel a difference, but 100HP worth? No. 50HP, maybe. If anything, it sorta just filled in the blank spaces makes it feel like its very linear power... Feels like it should have been like tihs from the factory. Certainly doesnt feel like it could do low 13s like Rex claimed it can with its current setup.

Im going to take it back to the shop and see what they have to say. One of their guys has a lot of experience with nitrous systems...

Disabled........................ after all my work on Fred's car? Did he tell you about our drag race with the newish motor?

Careful without RFuel. Wasn't that a 75HP JWT system? Been so long ago.

It should boost torque based on volume decrement 65 lb/ft @ 6,000 and 130 lb/ft at 3,000 rpm average 100 lb/ft in 1st gear and 80 in 2nd gear.

Knock a second off quarter mile.

No Fred never told me about that!! Please tell!

Basically all I did was bypass the switching system up in the hood, and when i replaced my fuel pump the ground wire was spliced into a wire back there, as well as a wire on the FPCU... I could hook it back up in less than an hour most likely.... I got sick of the car not starting everytime id bump the switch... I think all the times doing that running it dry fried the external fuel pump, so id probably have to get a new one of those anyway.. Certainly does not feel 100FT/LBS..

Robert said that at high RPMS the injectors are nearly wide open.. so im not worreid about detonation.

I went out and looked exactly what I did.. There were 3 wires I cut, a blue, an orange, and a black.. The black wire just picked up ground from the fuel pump.. If i recall, the orange wire was plugged into the FUEL PUMP side of the orange/blue wire and the blue wire was plugged into the FPCU side of the orange/blue wire.

Wes...I thought I heard somebody crying earlier today in the distance. Sorry the bottle was not all that it seemed to be, but at least you got it hooked up. I have been in a Mustang back to back both with and without the bottle at 100 shot and it was faster but like you said...not what one would think an extra 100hp would give. Now just get your butt over to Ohio for a little 60+mph beat down from my old Q

Wes,

If I were you, I would get hold of a wideband setup like ones from Innovate or PLX.

It is not a good idea to be messing with the nitrous without knowing your air/fuel ratios. Your system has been down for a while, so you don't know if everything is still working as designed.

Thats true, but then again, the electronics shoudlnt go bad, right? I mean everything else is sort of how it should be... I sort of trust the JWT setup to err on the side of safety... I still think I have a jet thats too small...

I'll bet that JWT is set up *WAY* safe. There's probably a LOT left on the table.

Right now for some reason I have a .046 jet in there.. JWT recommends a .052. HOwever Rex said that he was running a .070, but that was likely with the race fuel hooked up.

I think that maybe i will try a .060 jet and see where that lands me.

I think the JWT system is way safe. I have run about seven bottles through my system and I think temp has a lot to do with it. At times it's a huge rush at others it's just a little. JWT told me stock plugs, 93 octane, and I would be ok. Plus the bottle only lasts a short time. So far so good..
