So I have a hole in my Timing Cover...

I looked in my timing cover tonight through the water pump hole, and lo and behold, there's a small hole there. My question is: knowing this, what all is necessary now? Just a new timing cover, oil change, and coolant change, or will I need to tear down the engine due to coolant being in with the oil?

TIA,

D

When I first got the car I noticed it was low on coolant, filled it up, then did an oil change immediately afterwards (without starting the car) and probably a half pint to a pint of coolant poured out before the oil.

The hole in the cover is not that large, it's a slit, as would be produced by the chain wearing through it, and it's probably half an inch or an inch in length. This is right after the water pump, btw, so the flow through there I would imagine would be high.

Also, will a timing cover from a '90-'94 nissan ka24e truck fit? I've found a low-cost one locally.
