So, I'm in an interesting position right now... I have an entire metal shop at my disposal with a LOT of tools (minus a mill and lathe, unfortunately ours were damaged a couple years back and we never replaced them.) But, we have a lot of other stuff - TIG/MIG welders, acetylene torches, forges, saws, 150lb air hammer, plasma cutter, glass/ceramic kilns, and a whole slew of assorted power tools. I have a ton of free time at the moment and all of this laying around...I feel like I should be building Z stuff. Problem is, I have NO idea what to make!

Any recommendations? I'd totally be down to make a whole run of the same part, too, and offer them up for sale if anyone's interested. I just need ideas!

Thanks :)

Fender braces!!

Only one company (as far as I know) makes them, and only in limited quantities and they charge ALOT for them. From those who have installed them, they claim it really stiffens up the front end. Just a thought :bigthumb:

Oooh, on both counts, I can definitely make those happen. We're getting a big pipe bender in the next couple of days (hello, 3" mandrel bends), and the brace looks like it'd be cake to fab up. Sorry for the late reply, haven't been on in a while!
