And I'm not sure what else I need to make it work. Google has me confused about it. I paid 200 for it and it is supposed to include a map. My receipt states that it needs AIT Sensor.

I have been gathering parts; was really just buying stuff the shop told me to and was gonna have them install everything, well that fell apart cuz I'm tired of waiting for my engine. Shoulda just done the swap myself in the first place /rant.

Well, I have a first Gen SAFC 2, evo 8 (or 9, can't remember) injectors; flowed around 600, and a T2860R.

What else am I missing?

Have fun. Seriously, HKS dropped full support a few years ago. With the VPC the best thing to do is wait for a complete setup to hit eBay. They fetch anywhere from $300 to $500.

Not sweet. What do you think just the VPC is worth?

Make your own harness....cant be too hard if you can find a pinout diagram.

I would give HKS USA a call and see if they can help with a pinout or a manual.

the part number for the air temp sensor is 21212-002100

the part number for the sensor harness is 21219-001100

for the amount of effort you will put in with this dinosaur, you could have saved up some more money and gotten an sds, megasquirt, electromotive etc.

Can you tell me exactly what components you have? I can tell you what you need to get the units up and working.

Just the unit with the two plugs coming off it.

you're screwed, sorry. You need the interceptor harness, the sensor harness, the pressure sensor and the air temp sensor, not at all worth the trouble.

I have several VPCs and could use yet one more head unit, I'll give you $40.00 for it if you want to be rid of it.

Upon closer look, there are 5 wires coming off it

The guy before you didn't have the harness either and hard-wired it into the car. At least he had the sense to leave the plug intact, right?

The two plugs that you see are still connected to the wires. What harness should come off the loose wires?

I am not at the house, can't look at mine. One of the two plugs should have a sticker on it that says "GCC". the more rectangular plug with fewer pins.

The GCC is the Graphic Control Computer, this.

The VPC alone adusts the whole fuel map up and down like a one knob AFC, plugging the GCC into it alows you to adjust the map at several RPM levels like a multiknob SAFC.

The bigger of the two plugs is the main harness to which the sensor harness then plugs in.

Her ya go. http://oldschool.supracentral.com/htm/vpc.htm

Neither of the part numbers show up on the HKS site and the guy I spoke with at AMS never got back to me. Thanks for your help though.
