So I was heading over to my friend's house to have some coffee with her. once in a while I see this Red with white stripes Viper RT/10 go by. I know he lives by her. So tonight I figured I'd try my luck with him.

I drive up next to him. I like a stupid boy, rev my engine. He kind of laughs at me. So when the light turns green we both gun it. *disclaimer: We're out on a near abandoned road that sees about 20 cars a day*

He and I take off the line at about the same time, he had crazy wheel spin. So I get up to about 70mph before he starts taking me, but i look over before staring down on his liscence plate and he has a "WTF?!" look on his face.

So all together I got majorly schooled. But the fun part was the look on his face. I'll never forget it.

Current mods:

SR20DET swap --> 240sx SE3" exhaustCustom FMICGreddy DownpipeCheap generic intakeMBC set at 12psi

Loads of fun.

Dude your engine bay looks like a mess. =) Actually it looks a lot like mine, only the color of the car and the color of the valve cover are switched. =)

Even if you can't beat him he had to work for it and you had a quarter of the motor.

Yeah, that's true. But by the end of August this year, I'll find him again. And with my T3/T4 setup, I'll definitely give him a run for his money. I doubt I'll be able to take him with the current T-two small. But, we'll see, we'll see. =)

Oh, and then and if I do beat the Viper. I'll make a "How to prep your car to beat a Viper RT/10 in a drag race" FAQ.

I've found pulling the oil drain plug on the Viper's engine to be effective.

Hahaha, ooh I know next time i'll tell him to remove six spark plugs to make it "even"... right? I mean, that should make the stakes even.

nope that still gives him 3.2 liters, run him down to three and tell him you have a KA, 2.4-vs-2.4:pface

Wait what if he argues power per liter though? I mean I'm making roughly 115-120 per liter or somewhere around there.

And what am I supposed to do when he argues power per cylinder? He's got like what 40hp per cylinder. I'm making like 60?

remind him that he is driving a Viper, the pinnacle of automotive engineering, capable of beating any car on the planet and if he continues to whine and backpedal like a ***** you are going to out him on the Viper board. I've found my enemie's ego to be my best weapon. See why I say the GT-Rs lose every time? Same goes for Vettes and Vipers, mythic cars are expected to win:pface

I know, I'm the reason I don't have a GT-R, cause I know the truth that guys like me are out there and have the capability of winning without finishing first by applying some logic and roadside math, I'm the spoiler:D

Actual stoplight conversation after this guy beat me by a car length.

Me "how much is that car into for"?

Him "$10,000.00".

Me "Mine's worth $1000.00, did you win by $9000.00"?

He looked upset so I left him to ponder that.

I remember last summer a buddy had a 99 Si civic, B20/non vtec with t3/t4 and spraying, in the end.. well over 500hp. I remember riding with him and we came upon a viper.. the guys face was priceless.. he beat us once we both got to about 110mph.. but what a moment in 3rd gear and us waving out the window while he was 2 cars back .. hehehe :)

Anyway, keep up the good work on your car, and let us know what happends next time you challenge him with more mods!

pinnacle of engineering complete with a pushrod motor and decent handling for a car in it's range:D

wait, unless this is a newer RT, wait, those are SRT's now...

you could always put a hex on him and laugh when the water pump destroys itself:D

stupid Vipers....I want one...

oh, nice work by the way Sircnay, I was kinda like "OMG is the guy in the viper a complete tard" then I saw you had a swap and 12 pounds, now if you still had a stock KA, pure comedy...

Yeah stupid Vipers... I so want one.

Anyway, another $1000 or so and we'll be right one our way. I mean a swapped or turbocharged 240 (ka or sr) can be a viper/vette/etc. etc. killer in under $10,000. It all just depends on how you do it. I've spent a lot on suspension before the engine. Which is what everyone should do. 15 year old suspension is god's hex on us. Do it. Do it now. After suspension comes the power. Right?

TMS, that's kinda scary, glad I don't live over there in a way, but then I think of some of the old muscle cars running about around here...

There's an old raggedy Mitsu van (those ones where the driver is OVER the front wheels) here in town that runs mid-12's... Looks and sounds totally stock (or worse). Sounds like major exhaust leaks (probably to mask the turbos spooling up!)

Dude is such a trip...

not bad man, I always liked the look on a Viper driver's face when they got beat by my GN, a black 2 door grocery getter with a turbo V6 and about 450RWHP. Now that's fun!!

Heheh, your 240 will be just as fast, if not faster than your GN, I assure it. =) I can not wait to blow another $1-2 grand on the 240 and go Viper Hunting.

Both my friends in 76' 280Z 2+2 with a 82' 280zx turbo engine and my other friend with his 83' 280ZX are still running stock bushings. Yeah they might need to be replaced. Nick
