I looked around the forums, didnt really answer my situation, so if you could help me out...

I went to a shop in miami, got a blacktop in my s14. I am loving it, but it has a few things I am looking in to...here goes

1- the clutch fan is so loud, it sounds like a vacuum. I see people remove it and buy altima or flexalite fans.... for that do I need to duct the air so it will flow to the engine block (i have no shroud) or is it good as is? also for altima fans what years fit...

2-It seems the extra weight has weighed down the front of my car, there is wheel rub....I got suspension spaces which eliminate the problem most of the time, but I need a permanant fix. smaller wheels?tires? new springs? I cant figure out how to eliminate this, and I am asking if anyone had this problem before I got out and buy stuff I dont need. It does have aftermarket springs (not sure what kind, there light blue, haha) and tokico shocks that came with the car when I got it...

3- does the USDM cluster read the temperature right, because it reads the engine as always being hot, even when it is just started, and the tempature gun disagrees with the cluster...my cluster temp gauge was always kind of buggy and I just ordered a new usdm cluster, we'll see if this works...

um thats about it, any help would be great appreciated, and heres a picture of my baby

1. It is better to have a shroud for airflow, but its not absolutely necessary. You can get ANY fans because none will mount perfectly on an S14 except S14 fans. Some will be close, most will just get ziptied or some other way of fastening them.

2. What extra weight? The KA and SR are just about the exact same weight. If you are rubbing now and were not before then perhaps your allignment was changed for some reason. You can get thinner tires, or raise the car to fix the problem.

3. You must use an S14 KA or SR temp sensor (single wire) to make the gauge cluster read properly. I assume the shop just left the S13 sensor in there, try to get the S14 one back off the KA.
