So I bought this KA off a "240 tuner shop" from around my area. Now, this guy is known for allegedly screwing lots of people over...but he was friends with one of my good buddies and I figured I should be able to trust that.

At any rate, I was warned by friends and I still bought a motor in aspiration to go KA-T.

Long story short..I should have listened!

I noticed the car had no sack, a friend and I inspected it..found out the cams were two s14 exhaust cams, it wasn't timed properly...the list goes on...

Just a myriad of sloppy ness, lies, junk, and waste. At any rate...here are some of the findings apon taking it apart..These are just 2 of the most appauling..

OH HEY CHECK ME OUT

Chicken tastes great when grilled on these

I wish. This guy no longer runs that same shop, he has since moved, and he won't respond. There is no point in reporting him cos I will never see the money again. Everyone who has ever tried to take him to court or report his shop really just wasted their time.

It seems fruitless. IDK. one of those live and learn type things.

To be honest, it doesn't look that bad. Sure it needs to be rebuilt, but at least there isn't a rod without a piston on it or anything. You are going to have to do that for the KA-T setup anyway, right?

^ He's right, my friend bought B18+transmission for his Honda hatch paid $3500 for it and was told all it needed was a head gasket. We took it apart and it was missing all Pistons, all rods, all valves, all valve springs and 2 rocker arms. plus it looked like who ever was running that engine had never heard of oil.

but your right being ripped off sucks

Yea, I actually just bought a different motor and I am gonna rebuild that. I feel like this motor is cursed...and now I feel better about the build.

At any rate, I'll be busy with two cars this summer. I have enough frustration to look forward too..lol

I've heard he was a scumbag before. Yea.He did good work on his car though, and helped out a friend of mine big time. So I thought maybe I'd be in luck.

The guy told me he rebuilt it for himself but was short on cash and was just gonna sell it.

Bogus
