I got a DSM Garrett t25 for 10 bucks, needs rebuilt, also this turbo is probably kinda small that probably wont give me the power goals I want, so does anybody know or can help me find a way to upgrade this turbo while I rebuild. .. like say I don't know maybe a bigger, different compresser or greddy internals... If I can do that to this turbo then maybe it might get me where I want to be.

If both wheels are ok (no bent fins or severe scratches) you are ok.A good rebuild kit should set you back 75 at the most. This is also you can do it yourself quite easy and save a ton.Its ridiculous to pay 200 buck for this!!As for size, its depends on your power goals. Will work for a low boost setup

those turbos are pretty small, its a nice turbo for a low boost civic with a d16, sell it to the honda folk and get a z31 t3 at least.

spare me for a moment ima be an ***....your heading says "payed"..its paid...haha sorry a little thing i have

anyways...even if you did cange the compressor...that turbine is still pretty small for the KA to breath on. however you can just go with a cheap t25 set up if you rebuild it. but if you plan on changing anything...you might as well change the whole tubo period.

What's your power goals? Why do you insist on T2X turbo. Z31 T3's are very common and inexpensive. Also a T2 manifold for the Ka is a lot harder to come by, JGS Tools and SSAC are the only 2 that come to mind. A T3 will better support any future power goals and having a T3 flanged mani will help if you ever want a T3/T4 or GT30 or something like that if you dont want to do modify your mani. If you insist on a T2 will support a low boost setip probably good for 200-250hp but will run out of steam early.

alright maybe you can help me out.. my power goals are to run 8psi of boost, maybe 220RWHP, 200hp at the crank, and maybe like 230-235 real wheel torque.. I want something like that.

There's no doubt that a T25 or the like WILL support that, but I'm just saying that if you ever wanted more power then it would be a hell of a lot easier with a T3 turbo. Anyway good luck with your build.

A T3 would be really nice,,,, but all the junkyards around here that had 300ZX's they are all stripppeddd out.. so a cheap t3 is like out of the picture.
