So I go to test Drive a new Cp today

I get to the dealer and tell them I would like to drive a AC with the 6 cylinder, do yo have any? I don't know he tells me, let me go look around the lot. So I go with him. He said, Is that the one that says 3.5 on the back? I said..Ummmmm Yeah.

Long story short......They had none.... So I said let me get a ride and check out the size of the 30,000.00 2.5 coupe they had. He said Ok and went to get the keys......

The remote would not work, nor would the elec. seats, he told me he did not know what was wrong. I told him I do..The battery is dead.

Fortunately, the front seat was just where I would have ste it to drive it. So I squeeze in and take a look into the back seat to realize I would never be able to get my kids in there with their booster seats.

I did notice the materials in the coupe and touched them all.....Better than mine, but still pretty cheap feeling, Kind of a dissapontment. For a couple of thousand, at best more...I could be into a new G35 with with the Vq and rwd.....and better materials.

So I tried to move on to the Sedan.....All of them were blocked in.......So I told them nevermind and just left. It seems as if Nissan still has people selling their cars that do not know their asses from holes in the ground. Oh, this is a new Nissan dealer in my area..........

If you have kids, most definitely go with the sedan. I don't even have kids and the coupe was too small for me. My head was right to the roof, and the trunk space was way too small for me. So I ended up with the sedan and I'm lovin' the extra space in-cabin and in the trunk. Not to mention you could probably get a much better deal on the sedan than you could on the coupe.

Willy,just like we have newbies that don't know their offset from their intake, such is the case sometimes with new stealers at the stealership! Its not just a problem with Nissan.

All of the problems you mentioned about the A/C I agree with you on. The leather is nice, but not the softests I've felt in a car. The rear seat is impossible to get into! The head room is small and the trunk space is smaller. I'm a short guy, so the only thing that bothers me is the trunk room. But I purchased the A/C also, and I agree with Eric 100%. You will be happy with every aspect of the A/S. I even think I like the way it handles BETTER than the "sporty" A/C. But that's just my opinion.

Oh, but one last thing, there is no such thing as a "NEW" G35. Since they stopped making G35 coupes in the 2007 model (which released in 2006) It would be hard pressed finding a new G35 coupe. But you can def get a "gently used" G35 coupe! At this point, as long as you don't mind the RWD, that may be your best bet!

It's a case by case thing. I've been to dealerships where the salesperson knows the car very well (in terms of marketing it to someone) and I've been to dealers where the salesperson is just that - only a salesperson, and has no idea about the car or any of its options.

If you can find a "Brand New" 2007 G35, then that's great. As I said, it would be hard pressed finding one, but maybe that's due to markets. It's probably a lot easier finding them where you are than here in San Diego. Also, my point about that was that 2007 models come out in 2006, 2008 models come out in 2007, etc. So to find a brand new 2007 G35 that hasn't been used as a test vehicle or something is a great find! I have an 02 Altima I bought new in Oct 01. The leather is disgustingly cheap hard and plastic like. I drove that car until 2004 when I leased a GTO for 2 years and put the Altima to sleep during that time. The interior and leather of the GTO was the Tits!!! Made it difficult for me to even consider a G35 or even getting back into my altima.

We are definately in different markets. There are 2 dealers for me to use here, both are 100 miles away. They still have quite a few left of the G35's. Hell, there are still new 2006 GTO's on the lots....(Not hard to believe I suppose).

It's a case by case thing. I've been to dealerships where the salesperson knows the car very well (in terms of marketing it to someone) and I've been to dealers where the salesperson is just that - only a salesperson, and has no idea about the car or any of its options.

I went to 3 Nissan dealerships before getting my coupe. One never returned my calls, one was trying to sell me the dealership, and one knew everything about the car and showed me how to work everything.

Gto is made in Australia....far from anything American that I have ever been in....And better than the BMWs I;ve been in.

Are you serious? One simple tap on the dash with your fingernails would tell me otherwise. Nissan has really upped their game on the playing field as far as interior materials are concerned. They actually use soft plastic like Honda and Toyota, not that cheap, hard stuff found in years prior. Read any reviews of the '07+ and they'll all say that the interior was improved greatly over previous years; especially the materials used.

Here in Hawaii, I just saw in the Infiniti ad that they still had like 14 or 16 remaining G35's in stock. I guess they're not willing to budge on the price much, especially considering they are the only Infiniti dealer in the state.

I would expect G35 prices to go down and demand for them also decreases while supply remains the same. However, if supply also decreases or if demand actually increases, then the price of 'new' G35s would actually remain constant or would even increase just a bit.

As far as interiors go, I don't really get the 'cheap' feeling from the coupe...I think it's pretty solid. Of course, it's no Lexus, but it's not a Kia as well. It feels pretty nice with the soft plastic and chrome-accented knobs and such.

If you don't mind buying used iam sure you could find a nice clean 06 m35/m35x for the price of a new g35/g37.

Really don't want a used car, and I just love the looks of the coupes. Do not want a bigger car....I want a coupe that had the back seat room of my 04 GTO..which was better than my 02 Altima
