stupid 1988 maf.... the car ran fine home from work. Then i went inside to get some cd's and came back out and started and went to drive away. 2rpm cutout!SAFC2 shows no signal from the maf. so i checked the connections... lovely corrosion which i tried cleaning to no avail.

So, I need a maf (and maybe a new pigtail with it)... like sooner then later.

I have an N60 maf with a pigtail if anyone would like to trade maybe?

I am going to check Napa tomorrow though, I can get a decent deal through them I hope.

Hmmm, sounds suspect to me, dude. Did you check the voltage directly at the afm to see if you are getting a reading when you blow through it? I didn' thinkthat AFMs just konk-out just like that. Are you sure that it's not the SAFC that's dead? Just my $.02..........

I dont have a working multi meter right now... ill check it when i get a chance. The corrosion seemed pretty bad, so i thought maybe it caused a short or something. Im gonna look at it some more tomarrow, after i get a ride to work and then back home

Using a cottonbug (q-tip), splash some CLR or Easyoff BAM, or some other phosphoric acid based cleaner on the terminals. Don't know what the US equivalant is..

I love CLR. Very handy stuff.
