Thank you for everybody insight and help in repairing my Q45T. The stalling at stops has stopped completely.

I am getting better fuel mileage.

No more annoying rattle from the fuel pump after replacing it.

The fuel gauge now works.

At idle the engine does not sporadically rev itself and then stall.

One last question so I was checking the connection to the MAF/AFMI cleaned all the contacts.Car runs great but

1) it sounds like now it starving for air

2) i hear screeching sound while i hit hte gas hard in low gears

3) and the squealing is also apparent when i hit over 2500 rpms.

ANy advice would be grateful .

Thank You

I would change the fuel filter as well if you don't know how long it's been. I usually change mine every 15k miles.

While you're checking the MAF connections, make sure you have a good ground. The MAF ground on my 91 was weak when I bought it, I solderd in a supplemental ground & it helped a lot.

Coudln't tell you about the screeching sound, other than the obvious accessory belts.

Ditto on the belts and possible idler pulley problems for the screaching noise. If you hear a quick "chirp" at start-up from the belts that's a good indication of a seizing pulley too.

Check the Fan clutch, also. If it has siezed, it will over torque the belts, above about 2200 RPM, and start squealing.

With the car emgine off, spin the fan. It should spin freely, and do about a 1/4 turn after you let go of it. IT is an easy fix. About $100 from Joe, and 10 minutes to replace. All you need is a 10 mm open/ratchet wrench. Remove the 4 nuts, and the clutch/fan assembly comes off. The pulley stays on, because of the studs. Be careful, not to cross-thread the studs, wehn you are putting the fan back on. And tighten all 4 equally, to get the pulley and fan to seat properly.

You might want to buy the fan blade too, if yours is cracked. Mine was.

Great to hear that. I hope the e-mail I sent you helped.
