Check the Fan clutch, also. If it has siezed, it will over torque the belts, above about 2200 RPM, and start squealing.
With the car emgine off, spin the fan. It should spin freely, and do about a 1/4 turn after you let go of it. IT is an easy fix. About $100 from Joe, and 10 minutes to replace. All you need is a 10 mm open/ratchet wrench. Remove the 4 nuts, and the clutch/fan assembly comes off. The pulley stays on, because of the studs. Be careful, not to cross-thread the studs, wehn you are putting the fan back on. And tighten all 4 equally, to get the pulley and fan to seat properly.
You might want to buy the fan blade too, if yours is cracked. Mine was.
