i have these two turbo's in mind, i will do some drifting and a little drag racing. i have stock internals, but i will build eventually. some questions that i have are, what is meant but stage 1, stage 3 etc... when talking about turbo's? is .63 a/r turbine good for ka motors for 9psi, and 18 psi? any info, opinions, trial and error advice is welcome, thanks

You should get the average turbo for the Ka which is a t04e 50 trim, 63a/r good for around 430 hp. Spool up is about 3500 rpm. Or you can get one of our sponsors Turbo240@AMS signature turbo the gt32 which is similiar to the t04e but a quicker spool up at around 3000 rpms. Also the gt32 turbo is capable of making 400 + hp.

But if your looking for a complete turbo kit, check out Turbo240@AMS. There turbokit comes with one of the most unique bottom mount manifold ever for the KA. It comes with most of the hardware to get you on the way to getting your car up and running.

thanks for the info, the ams site is awesome, i wish they would post what the specs are for the gt32 and 33, or have some compressor maps for them. when you say t04e, do you mean t3/t04e or t4/t04e? thanks again,

He means the T3/TO4E...definitly the most commonly used turbo for the KA. They can be had anywhere from 350 to 1000 depending on the exact specs and where you buy it from.

The real question is if you're going with a kit or with a peiced together kit.

i am going with a peice together, i have 2 1/2 exhaust cat back, rev hard manifold, greddy bov, ebay godspeed intercooler and piping kit 2 1/2inch, 370cc injectors, thinking about calum daughterboard for tuning. the support for the gt32 looks great except for the price increase, wow thats expensive and does not look good for low boost, 15 psi a must i guess. the t3/t04e stage 3 wheel, 0.63 ar, 50 trim looks good for also a 15 psi car, what about a car with 8-9psi, then eventually built for 15-20, i would need two different units or would one of these or another turbo handle both duties? thanks,

All depends on your driving style. If you want quick reponse, go with a 0.48 a/r and a 57trim..

IMO if you want 350whp+, go with .63a/r turbine

I had max power at 6000rpm at only 10psi on a t3t40e 57t .63 a/r turbine

How about the Blindside Motorsports T3/T04E? Is it any good, or is it just an expensive eBay turbo? They have the same specs: 50 cold, 63 hot, 57 trim wheel for $375.
