I was reversing into my spot and I guess I didn't see the black trash can on the lawn (there was 4 of them). I clipped my passenger side and I thought it just 'pushed' it forward (Mirrir faccing outwards), but upon looking futher, it doesn't have resistant anymore, so it'll just swing around (Doesn't have that 'lock' when you push it forward or back to that optimal position too). Also, the top head of the mirror assemb is now able to be pulled out from the 'neck' of it, but since it's powered, the cable holds it from it flying out.

Anybody knows off their top of their head if this requires an automatic replacement of the entire assemb or can I just snap back things into place after disassembling the mirror?

Anybody has had this happen before? I tried doing a quick search on the froums, but don't think anybody posted anything regarding this.

Thanks in advance!

FYI for anybody having the same issue or same situation...

I took off the mirror cover and tried taking a look at that center 'metal pole'. Apparnetly it's a metal looking rod thing that connects to the mirror with this metal nut that allows it to 'snap' in place. Well it broke off, so this requires a new assembly. Just got tape holding from swing around for now :)
