God damn this sucks.

I was at football practice today, and after I got moved to Nose guard, I was kicking ***, (even though I'm 6'0 175, or the smallest nose in the state, and also a wide reciever) until we went to Defensive Individual. Which is just strictly focusing on your postition, and just going against a simulated 5 man front, I got my right leg cought in a pile and pushed over backwards instantly. My leg couldn't flex at all. I felt/heard 3 pops in my knee and all the kids in the pile could here it pop too.

Bad news- It's homecoming week of my senior year. I will miss this game, and the next is against a team, that literally, I've contemplated burning down their entire town, I hate them so much, and probably the rest of the season and I also sprained my ankle at the same time.

Good news- No major tears or surgery needed, just strained every tendon and probably a bunch of tiny tears that will just have to heal on their own. Plus now I get sympathy points from my girl(ahh to be babied again) and sympathy from other ladie friends as well. Not to mention all the cookies.

What a ****ty day

I feel for ya bud. I ripped my ACL apart and tore my meniscus sophomore year playing football. I was on crutches for 6 months and couldn't ever play again.

The good news is that life goes on. It doesn't even bother me anymore and everything worked out for the best. It will for you too.

Be very careful with that knee man! I did the same thing my freshamn year (I was a left guard) and by the time I was a Junior, it happened a total of 9 times to my left knee and 3 to my right. It got so bad that the coaches bumped me from 2nd string (I was only 6' 210) with a lot of playing time to 4th string because I could barely walk. Never tore badly, but so loose that I could pull my ACL across my patella. Needless to say, my senior year was a no go and I got to watch from the stands Knee injuries have a way of compounding and reoccuring, so ALWAYS be careful now if you wanna keep playing!! Good luck and happy healing man!!!!!!!!

The last time to blew it, I was on crutches for 4 weeks. Got a girlfriend out of it (sympathetic hottie came over to tlak to me when I was hobbling around). Gotta love sympathy attention!

Look on the bright side. I blow my knee out every season, and I get nothing but a blown knee.
