My wife and I divorced and I have the house. I'm looking for two roommates to fill the vacant rooms and here is one of the applicants.
Hello,

I'm a 28 year old male working at the University of Kansas. Based on your Craigslist ad, it sounds like your offering a living situation that might work well for me. I keep fairly busy as well, keep fairly quiet and like a clean house. I was wondering if I could set up a time to stop by, meet you, and take a look at the living arrangements. I could swing by as soon as this evening (I get off work at 5) if you're available.

(As an added benefit, one of my majors was English, so I can proofread for grammar and structure at least. Though I can't make an promises about my knowledge of electrical engineering.)

Have a good day,

What English majors would use the wrong "you're"? He then combines "proof" and "read". Phone texting maybe?

Wow, I had one person inquire and asked for me to email them at [email protected]

I wrote an email, hit send, and 5 seconds later or less, I got a 5 paragraph reply...Fake!

Sucks looking for roomies when I had two lined up until one of them decided they wanted to live closer to campus. One was a journalism major, the other international studies. Both women.
I've already had two more responses since making this thread. I hope I don't get murdered by a Craigslist killer!
LOL! Well maybe I could use an English major for a roommate! Back to my beer brewing - a rye saison.

What you REALLY want for roomates are a couple of those Asian kids. They're quiet and probably have plenty of money to pay the bills with.

There has got to be a better place to advertise looking for a roommate than Craigslist... You're just asking for psychos to come knocking now.

What's funny is the Asian kids drive European cars (mostly BMW), the middle eastern kids drive American muscle (Camaro, Mustang, Challenger), and the American kids with money drive Japanese cars (Infinity or Lexus).

There's a local website http://www.TheHousingHawk.com that I've tried making a listing on three times and it never posts. It crashes out.

Best bet is to find a coworker. Maybe there's a bulletin board at work?

Co-worker doesn't work for him. He lives and works in cities that are about 20 minutes apart (and that's if you drive 80-90 on the turnpike).

His only real option is a college kid, but I wouldn't want to live with a college kid. I was one of those once and I SUCKED to live with/near/same building
