my roommate.. whose dad's truck I was gonna use to get the engine, bailed on me. so I might still get it this weekend but I'll get it by next weekend for sure. and after next week its probably a week or two before I get started.

well i was goin to take mine to the track thursday. but wensday night i got word that i still had some vacum lines not routed right, so i fixed those.. and i also have a leaky oil return line on my new turbo!... this hasnt gotten fixed maybe this weekend... i drove it to fill up the tank and it wasnt very fast of course i wasnt pushin 15psi... now i have to retard the timming a few degrees to see if i can nock my idle down any!! if not ill keep my 20 degrees of advance and run a high idle!!! and put my boost to 11-12 and go get me a 13sec timeslip..... and if it blows up ill just drive it off a cliff and not jump out !!!!!

I'm heartbroken...I called Noyan today, to get directions and stuff, to get my engine... they sold it yesterday. They were holding it for me, took all my information down, knwe that I had taken out a loan and I was just waiting on the check to clear to go pick the engine up....and of course, it was their last one and they can't get anymore. I guess they didn't think of the little things, like how I've already secured a bov, intercooler, wiring harness, ecu, fuel pump, for the swap...the guy there is trying to buy me a replacement motor and sell it to me for the same cost they offered the first one... but understandably, I'm incredibly upset. I called daily to talk with this guy about the motor, I told him that I understood that some places didn't hold things without money down, but he assured me they were a quality place and since I had taken out a loan they knew I was a serious buyer and they would hold it for me.and straight up, he lied to me. I guess I'll wait until wednesday, to see if he can get me another motor... but you guys who are looking for ones know how rare they are, especially on the east coast. I feel like someone punched me in the stomach. My internet has been out all day, and this is me venting, so sorry if I'm rambling, just feel really ****ty right now.

call up venus auto they may have a bad rap with SR motors but a few CAs came from them and they arnt too bad, just dont buy them from a shop who already tried to install it and molested the motor when they did, or youll have caught my curse!@!!!!

I'm getting mine from Venus. Although i was told it would be in by the 10th at the latest, i still have yet to recieve a call. I'm going to give them til tuesday before i raise hell because i've got everything set up to do this on the weekend of the 25th and if i don't hear from then soon, i won't have it in time. CA18fastback also got his from Venus and he says everything looks good so far.

how much does venus want for the motors, and are they a motorset or a clip?I was going to get a motorset from Noyan, just the engine and transmission, for 800 bucks.themadscientist is hooking me up with a harness and etc.

Well, I was quoted 1500 for the complete clip but CA18FB said he got his for 1200. I believe the prices jumped since the time he got his and i ordered mine.
