Im just thinking about the storm surge and that a 17ft sea wall isn't going to keep out a 20ft wall of water!

I hope that everyone got out of town like the warnings said to!

I was on the ocean during a 30+ ft swell. that's pretty insane, I actually saw some 50ft. swells predicted for the storm. Good luck everyone.

Oh, I follow storms and when they hit, I go to the ocean to watch, I'm not a professional offshore fisherman or something... Although I do enjoy shark fishing.

That's just an amazing amount of destruction it's just clear devastation. I feel sorry for the people who lost everything there. And here is the however. However growing up near the ocean I realized that along with the pure enjoyment that you get from living on the ocean comes the downside of the potential for devastating oceanic storms. It's just how mother nature works. I do hope that everyone fled, but they were infact warned to leave or they would die. That's what they said on the news .I would heed that warning and hope my verify that my insurance was up to date.
