Total cost was about $1,000. His 500 bucks plus him hitting me in the wallet for 500. It's a high mileage car - 180k or so. Did have most the maintenance records and it ran well for the test drives. Brakes are real soft - when I step on the brakes I either want ABS kicking in or the tires locking up. We did a complete line clean and purge and all is well now.
Both rear quarter panels have dents - nothing catastrophic but will need worked

And what I've found out is typical of the spoilered 240's there's rust underneath

There's a good bit of minor stuff around - insulation in the engine compartment coming down.

The driver was ... a large man ... and the driver seat cushion is jacked up - had to actually grab the metal rod that shapes the cushion and pull it back out to the side where it belongs. The dog was free - came with the car. Just kidding - that's Joey our rescue dog - he was on his way to the gas chamber when we saved him. He's a goofy SOB.

The center console is jacked up - the remote mirror controls don't work. No center piece and was obviously a smoker - we vacuumed out what we could but we'll take out the whole center console eventually and replace it. Radio reception is poop. AC blows cold. Drivers side electric window buttons are broke/braking. They work, but the plastic is going. The tires are dry rotting - so that'll probably be a Christmas present.
So anyway. The fix-ups will be slow in coming, as they're being funded by my son. It's his car, his job to bring the cash. His uncle, my brother, own's a body shop so that should be helpful when we get to the body repairs.
