So which ones are they? Aluminum or Iron. Reason Im asking is I just put in a few minutes polishing them and wanted to know if I needed to paint them to keep them from rusting.

They are Iron. They will Rust though eve if you polish them (at least the surface that makes contact with the brake pad.)

I could be totally wrong, but I don't think there are any rotors out there that are all aluminum are there? Whouldn' t they warp from heat very easily?

Hawk Performance has 4 options for the front, so I am sure other companies have options as well

I've seen:Porterfield R4Porterfield R4-S

and I currently am using Axxis Ultimate on mine.

The Porterfield R4 are the only "track" pad I've seen for them.

But...

I would argue that the craziest track pads on a stock 240sx brake system still brake worse then the worst pads on q45 rotors/calipers and pads..

It's all about brake fade and surface area...The q45 setup has way more surface area that the pads contact the rotors on, and since everything is so much larger it's much less prone to fade.

None of those are track pads (which is what I believe he means by performance.)Just "high performance street."

Yes there is a difference. You don't want to drive on the street in a track pad because it won't be up to proper temps and brake like normal at all. Ever had ceramic pads in cold weather? It's like 10x worse then that driving on the street with track pads. Track pads are meant to do 120mph-30mph stops every 30 seconds or so without no fade.

Look up Porterfield R4-S compared to R4.One is track one is street..Carbotech makes pretty much only track pads.

I guess I should say "road course."I forget that when people say "track" they can also mean drift/drag..

You goto UF or something know-it-all?
