I recently called up Nissan to see if they were planning anything for the Versa and what not and the guy just said the normal stuff like seat covers and things on that level. When I asked him if they had/knew of anything performance wise available he said that AEM CAI, Tanabe springs, and Tanabe exhaust was available as aftermarket parts. (SOMETHING VERY OBVIOUS TO THIS BOARD)

BUT

Then he said that they carried a NISMO CAI for the Versa. The phone got quite for a few seconds after that. After the silence I said, "WHAT??? REALLY???"

The guy giggled then said yes. When he checked his inventory, he mentioned that he would have to order it in from some place and that it would be here in 3-5 days.

I asked him details concerning the NISMO CAI and he also mentioned that it was solid black.

Sounds exciting, but meh...I sort of don't like how it's not pure aftermarket. maybe not as cool, but could it be that it'll give a greater HP increase?

What do you guys think?

I never heard ANYTHING from nissan/nismo for aftermarket parts for the Versa. And if they carried it so long why dont they have anything on there site?

If this is true. I will cry tears of joy. And then purchase it as soon as I see something.

Okay, maybe not that quick. But It would eventaully get bought.

Off topic, CodeRed, that icon is amazing. I love that movie. HAHA.

So a Nismo CAI is less aftermarket than an AEM one? Interesting. The Nismo CAI for the Altima was made by Injen I eblieve, is that considered less aftermarket too? Chances are the performance gains will be about equal.

Why are you hating. Wings?I'm just saying that it seems more like part of the company rather than a different alltogether company. Like NISMO goes with Nissan, that Suzuki one goes with Suzuki, Rallisport goes with Mitsubishi.I know they are their own companies and what not, but I'm just insighting my oppinion

But I would get it too... all black
