I want some input on people who had Nismo 555cc injectors in the past or still do to this day? Are they reliable as the new ones with the right fuel?? And do tuners like Harry from Ztuner and Greg or Seb from SZ still bother tuning cars with 555cc Nismo's? Yes i know about the ethanol in our fuel today screwing up pintle style injectors but i found a gas station near me who carries ethanol free 93 and i believe its Chevron gas cause thats the logo on their fuel trucks

So im asking this because im going to be one of those rare lucky guys who will be able to run 93 ethanol free in my Z32

I'm picking up a barely used set of Nismo 555's (purple tops) who have ohmed out in spec for a very very good price so first thing im gonna do is send them to get cleaned and flow tested then install them :)

What you guys think before i buy the injectors should i rock some old school injectors and run REAL gasoline

I found the place by using this website very helpful shows you the places that carry ethanol free gas in every state in the U.S (As you can see Alaska has ethanol free everywhere sucks for us  )
http://pure-gas.org/index.jsp?stateprov=FL

This the company/ fuel place that sells 93 ethanol free near me i just got off the phone with them they told me $4.40 for 93 not bad considering right now in FL we hovering around $4.00 flat for 93 w/ethanol.

Remember car is gonna but mostly track car but will eventually turn into a somewhat a daily when i wanna have some fun lol

So yea let me know guys if Nismo 555's are reliable with the right fuel :)

I run ethanol free gas 93 octane the station is right by my house as a matter of fact. In Louisiana there are lots of ethanol free gas stations considering the size of the state. I didn't know it was somewhat rare for other parts of the country.

But as far as input goes think about the injectors, I'm interested to see what the others have to say - I have yet to see how reliable the injectors are if you just run REAL gasoline, although I thought pretty much everyone runs real gasoline in their Z32. Remember that the ethanol isn't the only reason that the old style injectors fail.

Mark you guys are lucky! lol yea Florida is actully really rare to find ethanol free because this state was the one who pushed it -_____- damn Florida gov. mandating ethanol gas in almost all gas stations.

Yea i want to know some input on guys who have had 555cc since i heard good things about them in the past. Yea but ethanol is the big reason they fail (of course you have other factors but ethanol is the main so said by Greg of SZ i was on the phone with him yesterday....he actually gave me very detailed advice on not running drilled injectors was on the phone for like 30 min with him i was shocked when i found out about the true nature of "drilled injectors" if anybody is interested to what he told me send me a PM or maybe i can make a post about it

With the injector switched power mod, you should be fine for a while.

I'm curious to know the other reasons why Z32s don't like ethanol though I made the switch the Shell 91 ethanol-free last summer to be on the safe side.

Afi its something to do with the ethanol screwing over our fuel system. (remember our cars were designed in the late late 80's to early 90's) ethanol wasn't in pump gas. Basically the ethanol messes up the portion of the pintle and causes the coil inside the injector to go bad...i think its called electrolysis...its a very well know problem thats why not many run the old 555cc. Im gonna run them screw it cause they are ohming good im doing egr delete and etc so if i have to back there in a year or two it wont be TOO bad. lol

Another reason why is because i have a JDM engine over there in Japan there is no ethanol or if there is its very little contamination in gas stations compared to here in the U.S so i guarantee the 370cc the engine has still work perfect even though they are an old style injector (i actually ohmed them all they are in spec). Im just wanting to upgrade the injectors but not pay crazy money right now. Thats what got me looking into some nismo 555's they are significantly cheaper than 615cc or 740cc (mainly because they fail FAST if used with ethanol).

I heard about that mod is it simple to do? (Im actually researching into it now)

I have been running old style 555's injectors for 6-7 years with no problems. I use ethanol free gas at home. On trips hard to find but no problems so far. Run BG44K once a year after gas stablizer for the winter is run through. If they are not really cheap go with 740's.

Thanks Silver :)

so you been running them that long huh cool to know. yea i wanted to know their longevity if ran with ethanol free.

Yea i was gonna get 740cc (with adapter kit) but couldn't pass up this deal for some Nismo 555cc's

6 for $350 (the dude bought them but didnt use them and he needed the cash)
So i win big time going with the 555's and they drop in since i have old style :) so now to hunt for some deals some BIG sidemounts (new or used looking right now)
