ok 1 of my bulbs blew out so I bought a replacement set and decided to change all of em (crappy hyperwhite bulbs, no more of those, going back to halogen)... a simple 15 minute job turns into a 2 hr job... STILL HAVEN'T GOTTEN THE WIRES/PLUG OFF THE HIGH LIGHTS YET, WHAT ARE THEY? WELDED ON? And one of the low beams does not come off either.... God every time I dread changing the bulbs, it seems that many parts of the 240 is designed so the owner can be frustrated to death - it's such a turn off, I'm just bout had it with this car, God very annoying.

its like a regular wall socket and plug at the base of the headlights. i guess its posible the melted together when you blew the bulb or something. I dunno, mine were very easy to disconnect.

EDIT: i just noticed you have a s14 and i have a s13, so my post was completely pointless :D

well I got all the low beams off... still can't get the high beams off - it's getting dark so I'll do it later - as much as I love my car, it's very annoying and frustrating when a 15 minute job turns into a 2 hr job and makes your hands hurt all over from straining too hard.... damn all plastic parts to hell! man it's times like these that make me wanna sell the car and just get a se-r spec V.

It's a grease that conducts electricity and prevents the contacts between the wire socket and the bulb from seizing together. Also highly advised to use it when you change plugs and/or wires.
