Wow. So you are against gun violence unless it's visited on someone you disagree with. I wish I could say I was surprised, but while I don't think all Democrats and Liberals are murderous hypocrites, this sort of thing is a common reaction with enough of them to be a trend. So much for walking the talk.

John Carburruvius is a Democrat precinct committeeman in Bay Area Houston. He is a well-known Democrat in the state, worked on Noriega for US Senate campaign. He also SERVES ON THE TEXAS STATE DEMOCRAT COMMITTEE. On Friday he urged his twitter followers to murder NRA members and anyone who supports them.
The Examiner reported:

On Sunday, we reported that liberals on Twitter called for the murder of NRA members. One of those making the calls was identified Sunday as John Cobarruvias, a blogger, Democratic precinct chairman in the Houston area and a member of the Texas Democratic Executive Committee.

“Can we now shoot the #NRA and everyone who defends them?” he tweeted.

After reading about the tweets on another site, Yvonne Larsen noticed a familiar name.

“Among the selection of tweets advocating for the murder of NRA President Keene and all NRA members was a name familiar to me; probably familiar to many readers of Houston’s Liberal blog sites,” she wrote at Big Jolly Politics.

Larsen said she “pasted a screen shot from the Freedom’s Outpost story in case NASA employee and Democrat Precinct 699 Chair John Cobarruvias of the Houstonblog Bay Area Houston tries to delete his tweet.”

“You are an embarrassment to precinct chairs everywhere – and Americans. You sound like the next crazed shooter,” one person tweeted in response.
So now he feels bad.

f*** YOU you two-faced scumbag. You called for the death of another human being. You don't get a do over! That is a serious thing to say and you will be held accountable for it!

It's time for your political career to come to an end.

The 90s guy loves to back his words up by playing the race card it seems.

Mark showed again what a coward he is and appears to have shut his twitter down. Typical e-thug. He does still have this video available though which is quite epic and certainly helps the antigun agenda almost as much as his comments. :rotflmao

Guess whose school board just got this email?
Good day to all of you. I value your time so I will be brief. I wanted to bring to your attention the disturbing comments I have just read in a news story. I will not quote them, but simply link you to the story. http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2012/12 ... a-members/ As people read this story they might have the same reaction I did to the alarming twitter posts of the three people shown in the picture, concern and displeasure at the open discussion of gun violence. It is relevant because the third person, Mark Petropoulos, is a student at your school. Someone needs to have a talk with that young man.

thank you

So a comment about the dangers of ping pong is somehow equivalent to death threats? :poke:

That both sides are populated with idiots who need to have their brain-mouth connections looked at is true, but to try to excuse repugnant comments by comparing them to other comments is 2nd grade thinking. This stuff is not graded on a bell curve. We are not counterbalancing one side's stupid with the other side's stupid. There is a line and it doesn't move as the quality of the rhetoric is averaged out. Stupid is stupid. Irresponsible is irresponsible. Unacceptable IS UNACCEPTABLE. To call for the shooting of someone you disagree with is toxic, antisocial, insane, s*** and he and you don't get to gloss over it with this.

That sort of talk would be repulsive coming from anyone an I can guaran-goddamned-tee you if a pro gun person had said it it would be plastered all over the major media. Their reporting would be proper, but their motivation to actually do their jobs would be misguided. They wouldn't report it because this type of speech should confronted at every instance. No, they would report it because it serves their political agenda. That these are people who would tell you they are arguing for a reduction of violence by advocating violence would be funny if it wasn't so disturbing.

Oh, and you forgot to mention the part of his comment that is correct.
"People know what they need to do to be safe. We don't need to legislate that -- it's common sense," he said. "Once everyone's gun is locked up, then the bad guys know everyone's gun is locked up."

While I have my "peace-loving" anti 2nd amendment friends apparently speechless, here's another gem.

If some people refused to give up their guns, that “prying the guns from their cold, dead hands” thing works for me.
Then I would tie Mitch McConnell and John Boehner, our esteemed Republican leaders, to the back of a Chevy pickup truck and drag them around a parking lot until they saw the light on gun control.
Yeah, talk like this makes me feel safe. What was I thinking? i thought there were dangerous, violent people out there that I might have to stop. Silly me.
