71 Datsun 510 with 95 ka24

Please Help!

i took off my air filter and unplugged the mass air flow sensor as well.
i put the filter back on and realized i hadn't plugged the mass air flow sensor back in when i tried to start the car and wouldn't start.
the fuel pump and starter were working.
when i pugged it back in everything was fine.
i was on my way to class and when shifting down a gear the motor suddenly turned off.
after opening the hood and unplugging, plugging back in, and a little jiggle for the mass air flow sensor, it started up just fine.
later the same day i was on my way home from an auto part store, as the same thing that happened earlier, my motor turned off.
this time after unplugging, plugging back in, and a little jiggle for the mass air flow sensor, it wouldn't start.
i cleaned the connectors with electrical cleaner. still didn't start.
cleaned the mass air flow sensor with mass air flow sensor cleaner. still didn't start.
after purchasing a new mass air flow sensor, nothing worked. no lights, not anything.
so i traced, the relocated positive battery wire to the front, finding it wasn't connected.
got that all tightened up.
had the battery, lights, fuel pump and starter working just fine.
back to the same symptoms as if the mass airflow sensor wasn't plugged it, everything would work but wouldn't start.
recently purchased new spark plugs, wires, cap, and rotor.
been running those for about a week or so, no problems.
took the spark plugs out and found all 4 has gas on them.
wiped the gas off and put them back in, still wouldn't start.
checked the cap and rotor, they both still looked new.
took one spark plug out and grounded it, no spark. took 2 out and grounded both, no spark.
unplugged the 2 sensor clips on the distributor and after plugging them back in, it started!
had the motor running for about a minute, turned it off, and back to not starting.
cleaned the 2 connectors for the distributor.
took spark plugs out, that are black from the tip to the middle of threads.
wiped the gas off again.
still nothing...

it you have any idea, it will be much appreciated!
thank you for reading!

i retrieved the ecu codes and got
25) idle speed control function (IACV-AAC valve)
41) intake air temp sensor (IAT)
84) auto tranny diagnostics communication line- incorrect signal received
- i have standard tranny with nothing pluged into it.

Hey man make sure you are not using an oiled filter because the ka mafs don't like it I had the trouble of not having my hatch start because of an oiled filter.

oh thanks! what brand of filter were you using?!
it started fine with a new Spectre cone filter.

turns out why it wasn't starting, was some bad Wiring, and a bad Ground!

There also a few grounds that you will need to make sure have a good connection like the one that comes off the starter wires and the one off the back of the block it's like a flat spade looking connector. I'm telling you assuming you are using the ka wiring harness from the 240.
