SO Cali NICO members!

Attention SO Cali NICO board members...

This thread is aimed particularly at the So. Cali NICO people, however, if you aren't from the beautiful state of CA, your input and participation will be greatly appreciated. The purpose of this thread is to build a framework for a possible organization and car meets. Also, I'm hoping to create a network of some sort so we all could keep in touch about selling stuff, group buys, building projects, and misc. matters.

I've recently read a couple of threads already discussing SO. Cali meets. I think it's really cool that a few of you CALI guys have already gotten together already at Krispy Kreme and Life Plaza. However, I noticed there wasn't any real organization behind those meets. It was pretty much, "Hey guys, lets all meet up at [insert a name of a place here] at [insert a particular date here].." type of thing.

My proposal is something along the lines of, let's get something together that we all could agree on and formally organize it. Kinda like the people from CLUB4AG, I like how they operate. This is my first shot at trying to get this off the ground. Any suggestions, tips or help will be welcomed. I've never done anything like this before, so I will definately NEED HELP!

First things first. Let's all "check-in" and introduce yourselves. I'll be keeping a roster on MS Excel for everyone who is interested and replies. Then we'll go from there.

I'll give you the info on the people that meet up

we have met up at Life plaza, Kreme and my house, and Sonic's (damn Ford f***) We have also went to events together.

We plan on going to the D1 event together as well

Im down to meet up as long as I have enough notice ( 2 weeks ) of any event, and weekdays are pretty much outta the question. Im SloMoe (Garrett), and I drive a white 98 S14 5spd, bone stock right now. Im kinda new here, but I think it would be cool to chill it with some other enthusiasts out there, and I gotta couple other buddies with some Nismo pride that might wanna tag along and show off their rides (assuming you guys dont have a problem with vintage Datsun/Nissan ie. 510/240Z).

Hey Bryan, Ryan and Brian... are we going to that one meet that one guy was talking about??? isn't it going down this thursday??? let's set it up.. I don't remember where it is... fuddruckers if I recall!?!?!? but I don't know how to get there.. I would love to see those cars...

240sxcompton - they are talking about a different fuddruckers. i live about 2 minutes away from the fuddruckers in lakewood. the only meeets i have ever seen there are old muscle car meets.

Oh man, this thread is still alive? LOL, kidding. So righttt, Ryan posted a thread about the upcoming National Z Convention. I wish I could attend, however, I'll be spending that weeked removing my transmission again. I glazed my clutch disc, accidently overgreased my reused throwout bearing. So hopefully I could catch the rest of you guys possibly at the upcoming D1 show. I'll post the detail as the time gets closer.

I also like the idea of Club240SX

Now, if we could find a server to host our site, we'll be in business.

Hey yea man, I remember you. I forgot your name though. Anyhow, about those tail lights, I'll have to get the exact price. I get cool hook ups at that dealership, but I haven't really taken advantage of it yet. I have full access to Oscar's NISMO catalog, he said he'll be getting me a price list soon.

Hey Ben. I know there are a bunch of San Diego 240 people. I'm thinking, let's divide So. Cali into two parts. The LA/OC/Ventura side and SD/La Jolla/Oceanside/Carlsbad side. There's a D1 event coming up in August at Irwindale I believe. That's plenty of time to get together everyone and make a presence at this event.
