Any So Cal Niconaughts want to do any short rides? It doesn't seem like there are enough rides set up or anything.

That is a long ride. Well maybe they can get something going up there too.

There is this bunch of guys that go to this coffee shop here in So Cal with there oldies and everyone comes by just to look at their cars. That is kind of what I was thinking, just start out somewhere and head off to a hamburger joint or something and just kind of get to know the group and show off the G's.

Yep. That's the one. Some very interesting cars show up there. The Donut shop has a really good ham and cheese crossiant as well. But damn it starts early...

We could do a BBQ at the beach or Irvine Lake or we could go to a hamburger place like In and Out. For those of you who have never heard about In and Out it may be the best hamburger in the world, IMO.

Give some ideas, I am open to anything that sounds good.

all i can say is make sure you plan it good... last minute ones or ones that give like a 1 week notice are never good turnouts. for example like if i say lets have a meet next week, like 2 people will show up as opposed to like lets have it next month, ykno?

I agree, but the more you have the bigger they will become. We could do a once a month or something that becomes a given. But the first should really be planned in advance, that I agree.

thats cool... just becareful of gaining attention of the police (esp. since its in socal), cops arent too fond of modified cars doing a cruise

I don't think they like it when you drag or stop traffic. But as long as we keep it cool we should be fine. The beach or Irvine Lake would be cool because when you get there we will have a lot of room to park and show the rides. Dig it?

Too bad you're not doing a Northern Cali one. I'd be down with one of those.

Maybe something next summer, we can find some middle ground to invade. Any one up for that?

You can count me in on that one. I'm fairly new in here but everyone has been really helpful and I'd like to meet some of the folks in here. Plus I never miss a chance to show off my G.

i remember last year, a bunch of 240s did a huge meet in san fransisco... they met up in socal, had a lil mini meet, then drove up to san fransisco using the scenic route... that would be pretty cool if you set something like that up... but make it huge, all nissans.

Sure, if everyone is cool with that. But I was thinking of a Nicoclub gig, all Nissan's and Infiniti's. Where does he drive to and when?

Its different places most of the time. Most of the time its a little social get together. On Sunday we went to this shabu shabu place in Irvine and went to Green Girls after for a couple hours (like 4) to drink and stare at girls serving drinks in bikinis.

Not sure if it's appropriate to do this, but he's a member of g35driver.com and socalg35.com which is where the meets are usually posted.

I used to work with a guy who is a member of g35.com his name is Sage. I was signed up for the site but found this site better suited for me.

This site is much more mechanical minded as opposed to the ones I mentioned. Those sites are just a bunch of people who drive the same cars and get together to talk about pretty much anything. They are more social minded. I sometimes read their threads and find it interesting how little most of those people actually know about cars. I guess there is nothing wrong with a little of both worlds.

People on Nico should definately organize their own meets.

All of this sounds good to me. I'd be down for a meet once a month!

Hey Adrian... where are you in the LBC? I think I have seen your car around. I'm off of 1st and Junipero.

Damn, A meet sure sounds fun but I am way down in so cal, north of s.d. Any one else in here live in the s.d? Would be cool to get together with even a couple people before some of us drive like a few hundred miles just to get there. LOL.

That is why I was kind of thinking of the beach, something that is easy to get to and if we find a beach in the middle we all could meet. Even if we do one month at one beach doesn't mean we can't do it at another beach another month. This IS California the beach is open all year

My bro is going to a track day with his g35 buddies this friday at http://www.lacr.net/. If you guys want to join, you guys are more than welcome.

We are probably going to get in a couple of runs (5-7 maybe more) and then probably go eat after. Good time to meet some other g35 members down in SoCal.
