We should start planning a large So Cal meet. It should be in the LA/Ventura County areas. Best bet is to have some sort of BBQ where people bring things to eat. Any ideas?

Ideas:Saturdayat a beach or large park somewheresometime in June

Whittier Narrows in Whitter (605 and 60). Its a large park with bbq grills. Only problem is a $3 per car entrance fee. I've attend some big VW gtg's there.

$3 isn't bad. Can you take pics of this place so we all can see?

TO be honest, I wouldn't mind doing what we did this past weekend again. That was a lot of fun. Plus the shrimp at neptunes kick ***

Also the cruise up the coast was awesome, despite the traffic. And the icing on the cake was the touge run after.

There's another place in Chino Hills near the 57 and 60 thats smaller with bathroom/bbq facilities. No entrance fee. Few weeks ago people posted on here that a 240 gtg was occurring at that location. Ended up being a Celica meet with 30+ Celicas and 4 Nissans .

Most people I've talked to say Whittier Narrows is a nice place. So I think Whittier Narrows it is. ANy suggestions on food? time? I say we do this around June, so we have around 2 months to plan it out and get the word out.

i believe a portion of the park has to be reserved ahead of time.since its a big *** park (covers both sides of the 60 freeway), you gotta specify where you wanna be.here's the location/direction to the spot where the above photos were taken......60 westbound - exit SANTA ANITA and you will exit straight till you hit santa anita/ make a left / go straight till you pass the freeway/ entrance to the park will be on your right hand side *60 eastbound - exit SANTA ANITA (before finally exiting the freeway look to your right and you should see VW's already there) make a right at the light/ the entrance to the park is at the right * * the entrance is the first driveway after either (west 60) passing/ exiting (east 60) the freeway , enter the driveway and go straight and you will be making a right once you hit the dead end to enter the section and pay your fees to the park and join the event.
