Okay. So when i start working on my suspension and stuff I wanted to get wheels and coilovers etc..

But me and my dad keep arguing about fitment and offset.

I wanna get some rota grid 16x8 +10 and slam it on some coilovers.

But my dad keeps saying all its gonna do is rub and destroy my wheels and fenders.

If this is true why is everyone on this planet doing this?

I was almost certain that they didn't rub because of the stiffness of the coilovers? Or am I mistaken?

Get stiff coilovers, leave them stiff, and deal with the rubbing.

you should be fine. you'll have to roll/ pull your fenders depending on the size tire you run and how much negative camber. if you do more of a stretch you might be able to get away with just hammering the inner fender lips.

How do you go about roll/pulling fenders? Like I'm not entirely sure how to do it?

it bolts to the studs and you roll it back and forth while gradually tweaking it out little by little and it makes it all pretty for you

With that size wheel you aren't going to need to do anything besides bend in your fender's inner lip, which can be done with a bat or a rubber mallet. When you "slam" it on coilovers it makes the wheels have some negative camber so they will fit nicely. I'm running 16x8's +8 and haven't done a thing to my fenders besides push that lip in. I'm thinking about getting some spacers for the rear, I'd like to be more flush.

You'll just need a roll with 16x8. No pull necessary.

Btw, there is a wheels/tires sectionfor threads like this.
