yes, in fact, more fuel efficient engines should theoreticaly get more power, if you look at the statistics now, engines are only about 10% efficient at converting the chemical potential energy of gasoline to forward motion, if they were even 20%, it would mean a signficant increase in power from the same ammount of fuel or a decrease in fuel consumption while retaining the same power output
those CVT transmisions are neat too, they have like 2 cones that press togeather and a belt that moves up the cones, providing for a larger "gear" so theoreticaly, you could hold an engine at its peak output rpm all the way to the end of the transmision adjustment, sounds neat.
now, how many people understood that, because there will be a test!
