After doing last winter on the Conti's, I'm very sure that I need better tires here in MA-although I'd say snow is less of an issue that slush. I'd talked myself out of winters because I'd heard they effected braking distance, and I know that's a a problem on the Versa. However, doing a search it seems to be that people prefer winter tires. Did it effect your braking distance? Also, is getting tires from Sears a horrible idea?

No difference for me as of yet normal braking. I don't have ABS. If your sears store sells the snow tire it may be a good deal for you.

I went through The Tire Rack for my snow tires and found them a better value plus they can ship your tire to an number of installers in your area were you want them to be installed.

I went with Michelin X- Ice II studless snow and ice tires.
