General Altimax Arctic, same size as stock from Tire Rack, less than $300 shipped to my house. They actually look a little wider than the Contis now that they're on the car. The Contis were so bad last winter that I HAD to do this. I got a different job and am driving a lot, so I didn't want to be slipping and sliding this winter. Now, what to do with the old tires, do I know 3 other people who want tire swings in their yard? edit to add, as I was taking these, I noticed that the bozos at the tire place by me (who said they couldn't order these) mounted them backwards on the rims, I had to take it home and move the wheels around myself until they were rotating the right direction. "Oh, we're too booked up until after Thanksgiving, it'll be at least a week until we can fix that." Duh.

I've read good things about General tires (even though they are Continental). So do you have aftermarket wheels for your real tires? And those do look wide for stock size.

Nope, all I have right now is what you see (and some POS Contis in my garage attic ) I was planning on getting nice rims this spring but I got laid off a couple days ago. We'll see how this turns out. I can say these tires (after wearing them in for a bit) are already better in rain than the OEM tires were.

I completely agree. The Contis suck in the rain I can only imagine how they are in the snow. I have Hankook winter tires, they have been great (this is my 2nd season with them).
