Snow Switch on 09 EX35 RWD question

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

My 2009 EX35 RWD Journey has a Snow Switch on my center console, next to the heated seat switch. I noticed a couple of 2008 EX35's with RWD that did not have this switch. Is this a new feature on the 2009's or was it part of one of my option packages? I understand the function, just wondered if it was new for 2009's with RWD?

ThanksScott

My 09 EX RWD has the Snow switch as well. I bought the fully loaded model with all the bells and whistles and I guess that it is one of them. I thought that this button was only on the AWD drive models but I guess not. I live in Texas so I doubt if it ever gets pressed but I would rather have it then that stupid blank filler piece which I detest.

I am with you, I don't like blank spaces.I am not sure if this was a change for 2009, I have not seen the switch on the RWD 08's. I am starting to think the electronic's were revised on the 09's.

I would agree. Seems that you had to get the AWD in 08 to have this option. Or better yet they ran out of blanks in 09

What color and options did you go for on your EX35?

Breck,

This is Scott, our 09 EX35 RWD Journey has the Platinum Graphite exterior with Stone Interior. Options Include the Around View Monitor Package, Roof Rail Crossbars, Cargo Area Protector, Premium Package, Rear Bumper Protector and the Bose/Navigation Package. Pretty much everything you could get from the factory with the exception of the tech package. It's funny, the snow mode is not mentioned on the window sticker. I really think it was an 09 feature only. I think it's standard on the 09 RWD models, it was not available on the 08's. Maybe I'm wrong?

Scott,

Sweet ride. Mine is exactly the same but add the tech package, I splurged. Funny, it had all options except for the 18" wheels. It seems that a lot people have had problems with the Dunlop tires on those so maybe it is a blessing to have the 17" with the Michelins. I thinking about going and taking some pics and posting them here over the next few hours, probably start a new string.

Any mods on the menu for yours

Breck,

Thanks, I do prefer the Mich's. I really don't think Dunlop's are as good a tire. I had Dunlop's on my Harley and switched to Mich's. I do not plan on any Mod's. The car is plenty fast for it's use and I purchased the 100,000 mile ext service plan, don't want to give them any reason to refuse a claim, should I have any.

If you check your ser. number, you can tell your EX's production number. Mine is the 51st 09 built, check the last numbers, I wonder if your car was built close to mine, I find like vehilces, often are built close together.

Hey Scott,

I checked, mine was number 325 for the 2009 model year. I read somewhere that they are to build 30,000 per model year. If you consider this then the two were made pretty close to one another
