Yea, so we have a good 4" of snow right now (should have a total of 8") and my car is stuck at my friends house. I hate snow. I hate it like ugly chicks hate mirrors. I hate it like tube tops hate fat girls. I hate it so much, I'm going to write "FU!" in the snow with my pee right now...

Running costs, it was using £10 a day in petrol to get to work and back and at 75 pence per litre (opposed to the US 27pence per litre) also it was unreliable..........fun but unreliable.

I knew you were going to say that !!!! I hope you get a hurricane or something. There is LITTERALLY a minimum of 8" of snow, probabally drifting as high as 12". This is just crappy...

paul, how far did you drive to work every day? im trying to see if my high useage of gas is(was) shared with anyone. im at about $5 per day at $1.79 a gallon. i think i probably drive a maximum of 15 miles in a day. and im making nowhere near that kind of power either.

If your car is running rich to the point whereas it's totally affecting gas mileage, then I would worry. I've seen cases where cars wasted so much gas and customers wondered where did it go, but also wondered why there oil would get so dark and smell like fuel after only a week of an oil change. It's called "rinse-down" and it's when your car is running so rich that the fuel replaces the oil. Usually spells death to the rings, bores, bearings, pistons, and oil pump if left unattended.

I mapped it perfectly, the af was perfect on my wideband but it was running 22psi on a T3/4 hybrid, thats why the mileage sucked.

thanks... im running 10.

i know all about rinse-down. my dad and i are afraid thats happening but since i dont have the money to even tune it on the dyno, i cant do anything to correct it more than i already have.

the back of the car turns black and sooty after one day of driving and it seems there is no line between it being parked in my garage and it guzzling gasoline like there is no tomorrow. to give you an idea, i drove 8km today and my gas gauge has gone down 1/8 of a tank.

ill have to deal with this problem as soon as i rebuild my dirtbike and sell it. ive already got a buyer so i should have about $1200 to rebuild the engine with. at that time im planning new: rings, bearings, gaskets (inc. metal head gasket), intercooler, gauges (boost, oil, egt, air/fuel), electronic boost controller and dyno tuning. the left over is for gas, as i still dont trust it.

That's just ridiculous that you're waisting that much fuel and not getting the performance you desire. Either your ecu is mapped for bigger injectors or your are using a antomatic ecu which will definitely run the car rich all the time (been there and done that as well).

We have about a foot and a half. I had to shovel my 240 out just so I could go to work. It doesnt like to go up hills. I can tell my kids I drove my 240 uphill both ways in the winter with no winter shoes on it.

dee, im almost certain its a 5 speed ecu, its also not chipped as i opened it up and looked. my afm is clean and gives a good signal. im not sure what it could be. the only thing i can think of is to use the fuel its trying to and try and correct as much as possible with the safc. ill try to mess with the safc and mix and match my 2 ecus and see how well i can get it running when i can get some money. unless you have any suggestions. thanks hon!!

Sorry, but that one took me:D What color is the label on your ecu? Unless you have a wicked leak somewhere, your problem is very mysterious. Are you sure the injectors are stock?

haha, dont worry dee, i say that quite often with the intention of freaking people out. it works quite well. at my school we have some big black lunchladies that always call the students "hon", "sugar" or "love", so when i say something like that, picture it said by a 200lb black lunchlady in a really southern accent. (what i will someday aspire to be, if i could change gender and race..maybe not...ive scared myself now..)

jesus christ im wierd. you can like, disregard the whole above statement if you want..

anyway, my problem is really mysterious...i highly doubt the injectors are modified in any way, but i can look. the engine came looking as stock as stock can be. no leaks, and the can never smells of gas. i doubt the factory injectors could get rid of fuel that quickly..even if they were always open..

This morning I hit an all time low. I got stuck backing out of my parking spot. I had to have the guy in the apartment next to me come out an help me push it back into the spot because it was blocking traffic. I think those Ventus tires aren't cutting it....
