I live in MI where its cold and snows alot. Tonight it snowed about 2 inches or so... Everyone in my campus went home and cops are not working and there is a HUGE empty parking lot.... and my 240 was in the parking lot..... Do I need to continue the story?

Oh man oh man.. I wish there would be more snow and more empty parking lots... so much fun fun fun...

I wish I could fully agree with you, but there are no good parking lots around me (that I know of). Last night, it had just started to snow and I was heading towards my friends house. I fishtailed the entire way there (literally) and all in second gear. I even have "snow tires" on my rear wheels. It was a lot of fun, but kinda scary considering I almost hit a number of lamp posts, trees and mailboxes. Luckily I didn't have to take any main roads.

I drove my 240 forone winter in the snow. It was fun when you wanted to mess around, but not so fun when you wanted to go to work in 6" of snow

I live in Ann Arbor.. go to UofMichigan

Oh yea... when I saw my car this morning the left side of the car was COMPLETELY white.... lolz I need a carwash but blehhh its too damn cold.

It's true that 240s can be fun but dangerous at times... I just try to go as slow as possible when the roads are bad.

yeah, snow+RWD is about as much fun as a person could have! unfortunatly the mean people around here actually CLEAN the parking lots . The only place they don't clean very well is residential streets and playing there is just dumb.

Yeah. i had my first experience driving my 240 in the snow today, its crazy. spins tires so easy, my brother was driving it up my road and decided to turn around by just tapping the gas. dont worry my street is pretty empty. it was all fun tho. o and hey, did u guys know that the spedo is bassed on the rear tires. my tires were spinning up to 4 grand at a stand still in first and it said i was doin 14 on my digital gauge. Hell yes!

Yea the sensor is right on the transmission so your wheel spins so does your speedo.

DAMN. I was at one of my friends house last night and we had a pretty heavy snow in the early morning. Driving home was an experience! The road crews hadn't even started on any of our roads yet and they had like 2+ inches of snow on them. I couldn't even start on level ground without spinning like crazy. First challenge was pulling onto the main road, which was at the top of a hill. Stopped at the bottom, waited for it to be clear and slid up the hill as quick as possible, fishtailing wildly into the road. After that, just driving, the car would begin sliding back and forth whenever I touched the gas. Then I was going down into a big valley in the road, and i passed some FWD sedan going the other way spinning their tires like MAD trying to go up. Wheels were spinning like 40, car was going about 1. So right before I got to the bottom I sped up quite a bit and was able to get over the top without much trouble. Then when I turned off that road I was sideways (on purpose ) on this little sidestreet. barely making it up a moderate hill because of low speed. Then the part I was nervous about the whole way home, a really short, steep hill right after a 90° turn. I had to go really slow because of the turn and was still sideways anyway, so I punched it and actually made it to the top of the hill. The best part was that some SUV was following me the whole way home and the people in it must have thought I was gonna crash about 40 times. They even stopped at the bottom of the last hill because they didn't think I could make it.

I remember when my WRX first passed the 1000 mile break-in period (where you need to stay under 4000rpm).

It was on the way back from Pittsburgh to DC, and there was snow everywhere. I stopped at every single highway rest stop to screw around in the parking lots, took me like 7 hrs to get home, lol.

I imagine that with the RWD the S14 will be even more fun in the snow, although admittedly also more perilous when I'm actually trying to get somewhere.
