So I got a letter in the mail the other day with couple photographs of my car making a right turn on red without coming to a complete stop. Yes I know I broke the law :( The only thing is that the ticket looked hella shady since there was no court date or address and no fine amount. (also wanted to add that the return mailing address was to Arizona when I got the ticket in CA!?!?) I did some research online and found that its a snitch ticket. Supposedly it has no legal weight and is asking me to either incriminate myself or name someone else.

Looks pretty much identical to this

Anyway, has anyone had any experience with RedFlex and this "Snitch Ticket." Most places just say ignore it and so I'm leaning that way but just wanted to get the opinion of my fellow Nissan/Infiniti drivers. I'm considering it a lesson learned and I got a lucky break....or at least be more aware of white boxes at right turns :P

Toss it.

I can't say any more, for fear of incriminating myself. ;)

Stab the ticket repeatedly and leave it in a public place for people to see what happens to snitches.

Not sure about anywhere else but red light tickets in Texas are a civil matter, not a criminal matter. Out here, if you didn't pay it, it would then be turned over to a collection agency (eventually hurting your credit) or you couldn't register any cars in your name until it's paid.

Of course, ignoring it has worked for some people. If you eventually get into trouble you can attempt to fight it, most people have success. I personally would just pay the ticket if I got one. I don't think it's worth the time or money of fighting it.
