*sniff* smells like sulfur

hopped out the car and got a big wiff of a sulfur like odor ... anyone know why?

Do you still have your catalytic converter? If so, after driving it for a while, look under the car to see if it's glowing (clogged).

yep thats the telltale "bad cat" smell. you can either replace it or just gut it out with a screwdriver or something if you really wanna be cheap.... gutting it is illegal (emissions) and stuff but it's the cheapest way and it'll probably help out your gas mileage a little bit. Other than that you're stuck buyin a new one.

Catco catalytic converter from summitracing is $110 or so. very good to have.

Please appreciate that we have an opportunity to drive some great cars today. Lets take a very minimum step of having a cat and passing the opportunity onto our children. Cats make a big difference.

oh I know man, I'm not saying that he SHOULD do it... just that it's an OPTION. cats arent that expensive anyways so I dont know why he wouldnt just go ahead and get one.

...and yes they are under the car like you described man, ya got it!
