What's up guys? I have a 2006 G35 Sedan AT and I have notice two problems with my car while switching gears. Wondering if anyone out there has experienced similar problems.
Problem #1. On those cold winter mornings (Around 30 degrees); It sounds like the transmission is snapping into each gear (1st-5th) sending a power punch of torque to the differential making a thump noise at the rear of the car. This goes on for about 5-10 minutes until the car and transmission warms up and it goes away.
Problem #2.It’s the same thump noise I hear, but the driving conditions are different. The thump noise occurs when I am in the tiptronic mode switching from second to third gear only under medium to heavy acceleration. Doesn’t matter what the outside temperature.
Can you guys give me some insight of my current situation?
P.S. I also brought the car in and they told me they could not experience the same noise I have experience and did nothing. I feel like bringing in the car and doing the test drive myself with them in the car with me..... Thanks guys!!
