snap/bang sound from suspension?

during hard cornering in my R32 i heard this bang/snap/thud sound, seemed like it came from the front suspension and sounded real dodgy. its happened twice now. my car seems to still drive ok but what could this be?

could be tension rods or upper control arms, possibly the ball joint. Basically any joint in your suspension. Lift the car and yank back and forth and in and out to see if it shifts and makes noise.
