Has anyone had a problem with the gas peddle and smooth acceation. My M45 does not seem to run smooth plus sometimes the car will shift into higher gears to fast for my taste.

Thanks Altec

How many miles do you have on it? It may need some injector cleaning using BG-44k and/or better gas (Chevron is the good standard). you can get BG44K at http://www.everythinginfiniti.com, although deals can be found on eBay. Don't get anything other than the BG-44K injector cleaner - some of the stuff at eBay is different products from the same company. If this does not cure the smoothness problem, a full rail flush cleaning treatment (from the Infiniti dealer) may be needed to get rid of deposits and carbon buildup.

The shifting performance is adaptive to your driving. If you baby the car a bit, it learns how you want it to shift and does it that way for a while. With some aggressive driving, it adapts again to the new habits. Takes about 15 minutes of driving for it to learn how you want it to shift.

Also, the shift points in the Manual mode are different. When driving around town, I leave the car in 4th gear and it does a lot better in general with shift points, etc. Also makes it easy to shift manually when you want.
