As some members may or not recall, I recently dropped a redtop SR into my 92 240sx, and was met with pretty bad knocking, which has since turned into a minor tap/knocking sound. After holding a broom handle to various parts of my engine, I narrowed the noise down to the top end, specifically coming from the camshaft/valve area. As I was checking this noise, I noticed smoke coming from what looked to be my turbo. I ran to the back of the car, but no smoke was coming out of my exhaust, just the turbo.

My one concern is that the coolant feed banjo bolt was turned 45˚ more than it should've been, therefore no longer lining up with the tube.

Would anyone have any input on both the turbo smoke?

As for the noise, I'm thinking oil starvation.. I'd better knock that corner dent out I guess.

if your turbo is smoking, its most likely one of your oil or coolant fittings, take a look around, you should be able to see something down there. but it could be something very simple, have you used any cleaner on your engine lately, cuz that will do it too, but it would wear off pretty quickly.if its not either one of thoes, its probly the seem between the intake and exhaust side of the turbo.

Thanks man, I'm gonna head over to Brofasco tomorrow to pick up a new copper washer for the coolant feed tube.
