Another question I have is, what are the chances of swapped SR's smoking, I know all turbo's eventually do with natural wear and tear, but when a car's engine is swapped, were not talking about them using old old turbo's right? The reason I ask is because someone is thinking about trading rides with me and his is a swapped 89 S13 with SR20DET.......what are the chances of it starting to smoke on me? He is not the original owner btw.

The back bumper has black around the area of the exhaust, but he says its because hes running rich, I've tried the car out myself and drove it hard to check for smoking and nothing.

black smoke is from running rich..watch for grey/blue smoke that could be bad rings, turbo,or valve guides
