smoking?

so i finally got my car back today and it was smoking from the engine bay when i cranked it up the first few times. i figured it was either from wd-40 or the engine degreaser. but now it still smells like burning something when i turn it off. and theres a tapping or rattling it seems under the valve cover, but i already took my timing chain guide off. anybody have any ideas as to the smell, smoke, or the noise? hoping its nothing.

it seems like oil pan isnt sealed well, so i might have to re-do that. and im leaking a little power steering fluid as well. and today it was smoking from the exaust, not out the back but by the cat. does anybody know why it would do that?
