I'm not sure if smoking the headlights will affect the range of the headlight at night, but I say go for the eyelids anyway. They make the car look MEAN!
I heard from some people that you can make your own eyelids from the sticker used on sign boards... :gotme
BUT there is always ebay

when you say "smoking out the headlights" do you mean putting an overlay (or spraying them with like VHT nightshade) OR do you mean baking them and opening them up, painting the inside and putting them back together?

I know a friend that painted the inside of his headlight and it looks sick. I wasn't planning on using nightshade for the headlights or baking them

That's what I've done to my 09 eyelids, but since the '11 eyelids look different, I'm not sure if it is possible to wrap them because of that bump... I'm sure you can paint them though! :yesnod

Do you mean tint the headlights? I know there a lot of Mustang guys and 5th Gen Camaro guys that put a lite/medium tint on their headlights and they look great!

The problem for our year cars is that the eyelids will still look kinda whack because our headlights have that stupid camel hump

I heard that if you use the regular tint (that is the same tint used on windows), your headlights or back lights will get messed up... I don't know what happens exactly, but it is better if you check that out.
Or maybe someone here can tell us... :gotme
that is why I used a plastic-like material to smoke the rear lights.
