Hi all,
New to the forum so I don't really know formatting, so forgive me. I got an 87 z31 in the summer so its new to me it was garage kept for 14 or 15 years unused and untouched. Didn't start as the pump was dead. Now I hooked up a battery back before I replaced the clutch in it, and all of the interior lights worked, dash, etc. I hooked up a battery two nights ago after finally getting to finishing the clutch job, and replacing the fuel pump, and some smoking occurred near the fusible link box.
I think it might've been the Bat fusible link, but i'm unsure. The car will crank, but not start, and i have no power coming to the cab or so it seems. My headlights work, whenever I flick on the highs, the little symbol illuminates on the dash, the ignition is getting power because I can crank the engine at least. I was up until 6:30 this morning, checked the fusible link and it looks okay, but that never means anything. A second opinion or some help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
