I know what your friend is talking about. They make various spray paints that are see through when light is applied. One of them is called VHT nightshades. This is what I used on my headlights!cfrank467 wrote:HAHA im not that handy with car i was just wondering my friend told me tht he got his back lights painted is tht better than these sticker tht go over the top of the backlights
I just emailed you for some help thanksSHIFT_COUPE wrote:Niteshades is easy to use. Its just irreversible. Could be wrong though, Rob just pointed out that its removable. I didn't think it was.
I've heard of issues with fading in the sunny climates.

Actually, if you want the double layer its only $65 as the second set is just 25 bucks not 40. Highly worth it.LongBeachCoupe wrote:Woah... way too much involved for me... Im still thinking about the double layer Batmobiles... Trying to justify spending $80 bucks on tint i have to put on myself... Still thinking
Tyler you're absolutely correct. If you follow the prep steps that that author did, then it's permanent because the grinding of the taillight allows the niteshades to bond stronger. But if you don't use that method and simply spray on one layer at a time, you still get a nice result, but paint thinner will remove it.SHIFT_COUPE wrote:Niteshades is easy to use. LBC, I bought the overlays from BAT for my taillights and had his installer do them for me. I really like the overlays.LongBeachCoupe wrote:I think im going to go at this on my own with a friend... i want them BLACK and shiny... and i dont know any paint shops around here and i just refuse to pay "retail".
