i found this site, product looks good, smoke available in 20% and 35% thinking about getting some for the 240, they don't have ne precut ones to buy for the 240sx, but you can buy rolls of it and cut it to fit, i want to get it for my headlights and taillights, only question is how is the visiability of the light threw the film? is it going to affect the visablilty of my brake lights or the prjection of my headlights on the road? any information would be apreciated Thanx

ok i would not put it on headlights in any circumstance, it will affect visibility, now tail lights is ok... but there is some special paint you can buy to do tail lights that seems easier to do than that

I dunno. I see a lot of Pontiac Gran Prix with tinted headlights. I'm not sure but I think some of them are comming from the factory with blacked out head lights. There's too many out there with 'em to be DIY.

edit: I found this on their site:

DARK SMOKE FILM- Smoked 35% for that dark & stealth style. - Will reduce light output by 35% - Made from 17 Mil plastic - Covers up Hazy Lenses - For off road use only - Not permanent!! You can remove it if desired in the future

LIGHT SMOKE FILM- Lighter Smoke allows for more light to come through. - Will reduce light output by 20% - Made from 17 Mil plastic - Covers up Hazy Lenses - For off road use only - Not permanent!! You can remove it if desired in the future

I know they're out there.. i've seen 'em. just don't know where to point you.

I've seen 'em on the zenki, kouki and s15s. I'll look around.

You mean the people running around with the ol' GTO-brand black headlight covers?

I wouldn't put any of the films on your headlights though, unless you don't like seeing the road that well. I know i like my lights bright as hell

GTS light covers not GTO.

VHT makes the Nite Shades spray tint. Summitt and other places sell it for about $10/can. I did two 98 mustang tail lights, third brake light, and two reflectors in the bumper with one can. Looks good and you can do it as light or dark as you want. Also, body shops can spray your lenses with a smoke clear coat. It gives a shiny appearance to the lense and looks great but costs more.

do you have to take the parts you want to darken, or did you just tape it off and paint them that way?
