Check for intercooler piping leakage and also make sure that the engine is grounded properly. That should get you started. If that doesn't work test your fpr to make sure it's functioning correctly.aruek_ca18det wrote:Hi everyone, I'm new around here, this is my problem:My CA18DET smoke the sparkplugs too fast!... No ECU codes except by 55 (OK)Mine is a not catalizer model with a 4 wire AFM wich was mess up by previous owners turning its variable resistor, I already "adjusted" to 0.8Volt between pins A and B in reference with a non "virgin" AFM. I'm using stock by the book plugs BCPR6ES-11 for non catalizer model. The injectors were tested less than 2 month ago they are good, except by external leak (two of them) but spray pattern is OK and equal. Boost is stock except by some time peaks at 12psi, no Fuel mapping neither SAFC just stock ECU, a cone filter (clean) and that's pretty much it, sorry by the long story but I wanted to be clear at first... and sorry by my english, I'm not a native speaker...
Intercooler leak, maybe but pressure never drops. Engine ground maybe I'll check that out.boost_boy wrote:Check for intercooler piping leakage and also make sure that the engine is grounded properly. yeah, external, they are not spray fuel all around, they're like dripping a little. The new ones are coming soon.biosehnsucht wrote:External leak? Like what, they're spraying fuel outside the manifold? If so, change them ASAP before you burn down your car!
I mean to say that they are black full cover with carbon, physically not damaged, no oil on them, but sometimes wet with fuel. There is a change for the 4 coils working weak? or maybe a weak ignition amp that affects the 4 cylinders?sideways danny wrote:smoked how? melted the electrode suggests detonation. coking up and wet plugs suggest a weak coil or ignition amp
